Event Purposes

Section 1 Evangelism

The NC district NYI develops and implements a variety of ongoing ministries and special events to reach young people for Christ, including:

New Years’ Blast  Held as an overnight lock-in at the beginning of the year, intentional effort is given to create an activity that is attractive to a student, Christian or non-Christian. A concert/service is held at the beginning, with the salvation message preached and an altar call given.

Local/Zone NYI NC District NYI encourages evangelism through Local and Zone NYI Ministries. This is based on the belief that there is a call to reach out into the communities in which God has placed us. Through purposeful planning, Local and Zone NYIs can be evangelistic in their communities. The NC District NYI Council strives to equip local and zone ministries to this end.
