Faith Church has called its members and friends to join us in a focused time of prayer during our “Preparing for the Harvest” emphasis.  Our Prayer Vigil will be held on Saturday, January the 16th from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern.  You are invited to pick a block of time, of any length, to join us in prayer for the needs of our community, our nation, and our world, as well as your own personal needs.  The Prayer Vigil will be hosted at our church, 3608 Richlands Hwy, Jacksonville, NC, with social distancing protocols.  Below are the online resources so that you can participate right where you are!

We encourage you to take time to consider the following pictures of Jesus found in Scripture. Read the following verses and then respond in prayer with thanksgiving, petition, intercession, adoration, and/or confession. Write down what you learn from your Scripture readings and prayer time.

Some items that might be helpful for your prayer time: Bible, notebook, pencil or pen, and or devotional book.

Are you thirsty for Jesus’ living water?

The Water of Life

“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.” ~Jeremiah 17:7-8 NLT

“He split open a rock, and water gushed out to form a river through the dry wasteland.” ~Psalms 105:41 NLT

“Jesus replied, ‘If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water.’” ~John 4:10 NLT

“Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.'” ~John 4:13-14 NLT

“And he also said, “It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega—the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life.” ~Revelation 21:6 NLT

“I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will live forever; and this bread, which I will offer so the world may live, is my flesh.” ~John 6:48-49, 51 NLT

Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” ~John 6:35 NLT

Jesus said, “I am the true grapevine.”

The Vine

“I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.” ~John 15:1-5 NLT
