Ministries

Men of Faith

Our men plan events several times a quarter. The most recent event was a trip to a local Fishing Pier. We also take on project to assist people in need in our community. An upcoming event is building a handicap ramp to improve accessibility for someone with mobility issues.

Women of Faith

On Wednesday evenings at 5:00 p.m. we have a Bible study and fellowship group for ladies who are part of our ESL Ministry.
On Thursday mornings starting at 9:30 a.m., our ladies are studying Scripture and will be meeting in person at the church.
Please join us! If you would like to attend virtually, please let us know! Call or text 910-545-0833.

Christian Life Education
Groups are offered each week on Sunday and Thursday evenings to help us understand and live out the principles of God’s Word, the Bible. Join us for learning and laughter!  See our News page for updated schedules.

Praise Team
Each week our Praise Team assists in worship by leading our congregation in expressing our praise to God. Those who have been gifted by God with musical talents and have a heart to worship God with their whole life are encouraged to participate in this ministry. The Team invites you to worship God each week along with them!  Contact Andrea for more information at office@jaxnaz.org.

Children’s Ministries
Our Children’s Church program meets during the message portion of the service.  We also provide Sunday School classes for all ages at 11 a.m.  If you have questions about our Children’s Program, contact us at office@jaxnaz.org.

Military Family Ministry
Retired & former Military families in our congregation have organized ministries to current military families. These ministries provide prayer support and practical help to military families, especially during deployments. Let us know if you wish to serve or if you know of a military family who is in need of friends who have been where they are! “You are not alone!”  Call our office at 910-353-0221.

Youth Ministry
Our teens meet for fellowship and Christian growth.  We have district and regional events each year to have fun with friends, to develop our talents and skills and to make a difference in the world.  Contact us at office@jaxnaz.org for more info.

Elijah’s Barrel Food Pantry
A box of non-perishable food items (and fresh food, when available) is offered to needy individuals and families up to three times a year.  If you would like to help with this ministry, please let us know by leaving a message for Pastor Bill.  If you would like to request a food box, call our office at 910-353-0221.

C.H.E.W. Program
Our church partners with our local schools to help provide healthy food to school children to take home on the weekends.  We collect cans of soup and fruit cups to make a monthly donation to this program.  Your donations are gratefully accepted!

  1. Good afternoon. The United Way of Onslow County cordially invites you to attend a meeting to hear what we are doing to end food insecurity for the county’s children.

In Onslow County, one in five children is food insecure. The United Way’s CHEW! (Children’s Healthy Eating on Weekend) Program helps bridge the gap. CHEW! serves more than 500 children in twenty-four schools. However, the need is great. We have three schools on our waitlist. And, we have a bold goal to serve 1,300 students weekly – or 25% of children in need in Onslow County – by 2020. We want to work with you to reach that goal.

We will host two informational sessions on April 23 – 9am and 10:30am – at the CHEW house located at 8 Ruth Street.

Space for each informational session will be limited to 25 people per session. Please RSVP by Thursday, April 19 to Martha Gautier, CHEW! Program Volunteer, at Martha.gautier@yahoo.com or 850-251-4321.
